It comes as no surprise that Gozitans and tourists flock to Marsalforn to swim and dive in the area's pristine blue waters. The coastline all around Marsalforn is picturesque, with many picture-perfect coves and swimming spots. From Xwejni to Wied il-Ghasri, the coastline is dotted with dozens of salt pans dug into the soft limestone and filled with sea water in the spring, in order to harvest the salt that is left behind after the water evaporates in the summer.
