This is a component of the urban conservation area. It is steeped in a significant portion of the city's past. Built in the 1600's this building has the original memorial to the first doctor in Gozo who lived in this house. His statue looks down on the internal staircase. This is a piece of local history that deserves to be restored back to its former glory. This portion of the building, which dates back to the seventeenth century and served as the official library of the Island of Gozo, This home is filled to the brim with traditional elements, such as high ceilings in the rooms, characteristic patterned Maltese tiles, limestone flagstone floors, arches, wooden beams, and masonry works that run throughout the entire property.

A traditional arched entrance space greets you as you enter this house. This area opens onto a roofed patio, which in turn goes into the kitchen and two separate bathrooms. When one ascends to the first level, there is an original bust and inscription of the building's previous owners that can be seen directly in the middle of the staircase.

Once on the first floor, there is a large room with high ceilings that was previously the location of the library. As a result of this room's location in a corner, it is exceptionally bright and open, and it provides access to both the official secondary bedroom and the sizable bathroom.
